Joe "Rusty" Bailey Creek

Joe “Rusty” Bailey Creek, 66, of Ballinger recently passed away at his residence.

He was born August 17, 1944 in Oceanside, California to Floyd Cecil and Allie Mae (Justis) Creek. Rusty served his country honorably in the US Army during the Vietnam War. He retired from maintenance work with the city of El Cajon, California and had lived in Ballinger and owned property in the area for the past several years.

Rusty was preceded in death by his parents and two sisters.

He is survived by his son, Jason Creek of Loma Linda, California; a daughter, Natalie Burmudahs; and seven brothers, Billy Floyd Creek of Arlington, Texas; William Boyd Creek of Springdale, Arkansas; Bobby Lloyd Creek of Hammond, Louisiana; Barry Leon Creek of Ft. Worth, Texas; Buddy Eugene Creek of Huntsville, Alabama; Benny Wade Creek of Charlotte, North Carolina; and David Bruce Creek of Rutland, Massachusetts.

A memorial graveside service will be held Friday, January 14 at 11:00 a.m. at Lovington Cemetery in Lovington, New Mexico.

Services in New Mexico will be under the direction of Kirby-Smith-Rogers Funeral Home of Lovington.
