Henry G. Fuentes, 69, of Ballinger passed away February 14, 2011 at Runnels County Rehabilitation and Nursing Center.
He was born in Acuna, Mexico on March 13, 1941 to Manuel V. and Juanita (Guerrero) Fuentes. He and Elvira Escobar were married April 27, 1959 in Rowena. Henry was employed by Mueller Supply as a pre-fab machine operator for many years. He was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church and a past member of the Rowena Council of Knights of Columbus.
He was preceded in death by brothers, Manuel and Ray Fuentes, and a grandson, Joey Fuentes.
Mr. Fuentes is survived by his wife, Elvira Fuentes, of Ballinger; his children, Henry Fuentes, Jr., Edward Fuentes, Theresa Jackson, David Fuentes, all of Ballinger, Melinda Lopez and Raymond Fuentes, both of San Angelo; sisters, Rosa Albarado, Lucy Fuentes, Josie Castillo, and Irma Cappuchino; and a brother, Tony Fuentes. Also surviving are 20 grandchildren and numerous great-grandchildren.
Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Friday, February 18 at St. Mary Catholic Church in Ballinger. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, February 19 at 10:00 a.m. at St Mary Catholic Church with Fr. Hubert Wade celebrating. Burial will take place in the Latin-American Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Edward Fuentes, Jr., Christopher Fuentes, Matthew Fuentes, Justin Lopez, David Fuentes, Jr., and Anthony Fuentes.
