Hiram Calvin Watkins

Hiram Calvin Watkins, 79, of Mimbres, New Mexico passed away Monday, April 4, 2011 at a nursing center in Las Cruces, New Mexico.

He was born June 16, 1931 to Joseph Robert and Margaret Elizabeth (Carlile) Watkins in Roscoe, Texas. Calvin married Mae Dell Paschal on May 31, 1951 in Runnels County and was employed as a contract truck driver.

He was preceded in death by his parents and a daughter, Mickey Jean.

Calvin is survived by his wife, Mae Dell of Mimbres, NM; four daughters, Linda Gayle Nousianen of Jackson, WY, Diane White of Buda, Gloria Applegate of Marfa,
Teresa Burke of Apple Valley, CA; and two sons, Randy Watkins of Banning CA, and Paul Watkins of GA.

Visitation will be Thursday, April 7 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger, Texas (908 N. 8th Street). Funeral services will be Friday, April 8 at 10:30 am at First United Methodist Church in Ballinger (1500 N. Broadway) with burial in Old Runnels Cemetery.

Memorials may be made to the American Heart Association or a favorite charity.
