Julie R. Pospichal

Julie Pospichal, 90, of Rowena, died early Saturday morning, April 30, 2011 at the Ballinger Memorial Hospital.

She was born on July 22, 1920 in Rowena to Vaclav and Theresa (Strakos) Recinsky. She served with the Army Air Wacs as a medical corpsman during WWII. She married Ed Jim Pospichal in Ballinger on August 12, 1946. He preceded her in death on February 6, 1982.

Julie was also preceded by sisters, Annie Smith, Mary Mucha, and Christina Recinsky; and brothers, Willie and Emil Recinsky.

She is survived by her daughter, Patsy Hilliard and husband, Bill of Ballinger, her son, Jerry Pospichal and wife, Jackie of Rowena, and sister, Blanche Gesch of Lake Whitney. Her six grandchildren, who will serve as honorary pallbearers, Tammy Poole, Theresa Fuentes, Dawn Alvarado, Jason Pospichal, Laura Pospichal and Ashley Riley also survive along with 15 great grandchildren

Graveside service for Julie Pospichal will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 4, in Rowena Evergreen Cemetery.
Memorials may be made to a favorite charity.
