Dorrace Josephine Beach

Dorrace Josephine Engbrock Beach left this earthly life for her heavenly home on Tuesday, July 5, 2011. She was born on February 16, 1925 to Leo and Oleva Engbrock in Cyclone, Texas. She is survived by Deacon Leroy Beach, her devoted husband of 64 years.

Dorrace was the mother of eleven children, two of which preceded her in death: a son, Michael, and a daughter, Monica. Her surviving children are Loretta Burgess and husband Kenneth, Gary Beach and wife Theresa, Damien Beach and wife Geralyn, Theresa Lemke and husband Tinker, Mary Adkins and husband Bubba, Joseph Beach and wife Dora, Johnny Beach and wife Elaine, Patricia Rogers and husband Kerry, and James Beach and wife Robin. Also left to cherish her are 28 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren with another on the way. She has three living brothers: Charles, Eugene, and Leonard Engbrock.

Dorrace was a true servant for the Lord. She fed many people, both in body and spirit. She prepared endless meals for visiting priests, senior citizens, friends, and her ever-growing family, all with a joyful spirit. She absolutely loved life. Her name, “bountiful one,” showed in her care of children, gardening, sewing, canning, or whatever she put her hands and heart to. She was gracious and hospitable, showing warmth and value to all she met. She has impacted countless lives for four generations.

As a family, we express heartfelt thanks and gratitude to Dr. John Stevenson, Dr. Michael Blanc, and Melanie and her staff at Angelo Kidney Connection. Their caring and expertise are a true testimony for their medical profession.

Rosary will be recited Thursday, July 7 at 7:00 pm at St. Boniface Catholic Church in Olfen. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday, July 8 at 10:00 am also at St. Boniface Catholic Church. Burial will take place in the Millersview Cemetery.
