Allene Blackmon Sherman

Allene B. Sherman, 85, of Ballinger passed away Monday, October 24, 2011 at Ballinger Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center in Ballinger.

She was born August 29, 1926 to Alvie and Ollie (Green) Blackmon in Brown County, Texas. Allene and Dause Sherman were married May 4, 1944. He preceded her in death January 16, 2010. She was employed by Winn’s Department Store for over 16 years and was a member of Seventh Street Baptist Church.

She is survived by two sons, Dennis Sherman and wife, Martha of Abilene and Kenneth Sherman and wife, Ruth of San Angelo; five grandchildren, Kevin Sherman, Becky West, Michael Sherman, Tracy Randolph, and Kelly Tankersley. Seventeen great-grandchildren and one great-great-grandchild also survive.

Graveside services will be at 2:00 PM Wednesday, October 26 at the Old Runnels Cemetery. A time of visitation will be held prior to the service at 12:30 PM at Lange Funeral Home.
