Lupe Picon, Sr.

Lupe Picon, Sr. of Ballinger passed away Saturday, January 21, 2012 at Central Texas Nursing and Rehabilitation at age 85.

He was born March 8, 1926 in Cameron, Texas to John, Sr. and Rosalea (Fonseca) Picon.
He had lived in Ballinger nearly all his life and was a well-known barber in the area. He loved his family and was an accomplished musician on the accordion.

Lupe is survived by his wife, Juanita Picon of the home; children, Marie Picon Sessom, Lupe Picon, Jr., Tony Picon, Julie Escobar, all of San Angelo, Patsy Edwards of Breckenridge, and Rebecca Sims of Irving.

Rosary will be Tuesday, January 24 at 7:00 p.m. at Lange Funeral Home Chapel in Ballinger. Funeral service will be Wednesday, January 25 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Mary Catholic Church in Ballinger. Burial will be in Garden of Memories Cemetery, Ballinger. Pallbearers will be Larry Picon,
Alex Avila, Jacob Crenshaw, Junior Lopez, Stacy Felton, and Adrian Escobar.
