Virginia “Ginny” Martinez, 62, of Ballinger passed away Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at Ballinger Memorial Hospital.
She was born November 9, 1949 in Loraine, Texas to Lorenzo and Lucia (Gonzales) Aguilar. She married Pablo Martinez, and the couple worked hard and provided well for their family of boys. She owned and operated “Ginny’s” for over 17 years and was well- known in the community for her delicious food. She was often called “The Burrito Lady.”
She was preceded in death by her parents and a brother, Ruben Garza.
Ginny is survived by her husband, Pablo Martinez, of Ballinger; sons, Richard Garcia of Brownwood, Robert Martinez of Snyder, Jim Martinez and Jayboy Martinez both of Ballinger, and Richy Robert Garcia, Jr. of Brownwood; siblings, Rudolph Garza, Rebecca Herrera, Fernando Aguilar, Linda Aguilar, Lorenzo Aguilar, Jr., Laura Aguilar, Mary Aguilar, Ralph Aguilar, Joe Aguilar, David Aguilar, and Ray Aguilar. Several grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
Prayer Service/Visitation will be held Thursday, March 22, at 7:00 pm at Lange Funeral Home Chapel in Ballinger. The funeral will be at 1:00 pm on Friday, March 23 at Victory Chapel in San Angelo with Pastor Mike Swarez officiating. Graveside services will be at 4:00 pm Friday, March 23 at Ballinger Evergreen Cemetery.
