Lalene R. Decker

LaLene R. Decker, 79, of Ballinger passed away Monday, April 2, 2012 in Ballinger, Texas.

She was born December 14, 1932 in Topeka, Kansas to Ralph S. and Sadie O. (Harrington) Dodson. Although born in Kansas, she lived and worked in several places in Texas. She was mainly employed as a banking bookkeeper.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph Dodson and Sadie Ola Pfluger, and an infant brother.

LaLene is survived by daughters, LeLane Wood and husband, Charles, of Ballinger, and Tonya Blesing and husband, Randle, of Leander; sons, Bill Waldrop of Ballinger, Steve Waldrop and wife, Judy, of Abilene, and John Waldrop and wife, Toni, of San Angelo; and a sister, Jeanette Gill of Hurst. Also surviving are ten grandchildren, Aaron, Lee, Mandy, Justin, Brandie, Kimberly, Bethanie, Stephanie, Phillip, and Shelby; five great-grandchildren, Reid, Brandon, Brooks, Collyn, Keysie, and two due in May.

A memorial service will be held Friday, April 6 at 2:00 pm at Lange Funeral Home Chapel in Ballinger.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that memorial donations be made to favorite charities.
