John Holland Cook, Jr.

John Holland Cook, Jr., widely known as “Johnny,” of Marble Falls, Texas passed away Tuesday, April 17, 2012 at a Burnet hospital at the age of 56.

Johnny was born December 21, 1955 in Ballinger to John Holland, Sr. and Lillie Mae (Drake) Cook. He married Karla Marie Zly, who preceded him in death in 1997. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Jackie Hurt.

He was employed with GTE and Verizon for several years and worked various other jobs as well.

Johnny is survived by his two sons, Adam Cook and wife, Sabrina, their daughter, Lily Marie, and their sons, Andrew and Raymond, of San Angelo, and Logan Cook of Marble Falls; sister, Elizabeth “Cookie” Ryan and husband, Richard, of Bogalusa, Louisiana; brothers, Marvin Cook and wife, Shirley, of Amarillo, and Robert Cook and wife, Rhonda, of Winters; and stepdaughter, Jordan Cook of San Angelo. He is also survived by numerous nieces and nephews.

Family visitation will be Thursday, April 19 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. Funeral services will be Friday, April 20 at 1:00 p.m. at Lange Funeral Home Chapel with Fr. Hugh Wade officiating. Burial will follow in St. Boniface Catholic Church Cemetery in Olfen.
