J. C. Werner

Joseph Clinton Werner, 82, of Miles passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012 at his home.

He was born March 8, 1930 in Miles to Walter H. and Martha P. (Mueller) Werner. He lived in the area all his life and was dedicated to farming. He married Lorene Kellermeier on November 22, 1955 in Rowena, and the couple raised four sons.
He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was a member of St. Thomas Catholic Church in Miles and Knights of Columbus.

He was preceded in death by his parents and by a sister, Sherlene.

J. C. is survived by his wife, Lorene, of the home; by his four sons, Stanley Werner and fiancée, Susan, of Miles; Harvey Werner of Miles; Rodney Werner and wife, Lori, of Tampa, Florida; and John Werner of Miles. Also surviving are two grandsons, Andrew and Benjamin of Tampa, Florida; sister, Elvera Hoelscher and husband, Joe, of Levelland; and nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be recited at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 19 at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Miles. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday, June 20 at 10:00 a.m. also at St. Thomas Catholic Church with Fr. Ariel Lagunilla officiating. Burial will follow in the Miles Cemetery. Serving as pallbearers will be Charles Kellermeier, Rudy Hohensee, James Kellermeier, Allen Ullrich, Lloyd Hoelscher, Carl Hoelscher, and Paul Hoelscher. Honorary pallbearers are Andrew and Benjamin Werner.
