Mitchell Fenwick, 84, of Ballinger passed away Sunday, July 1, 2012 at Central Texas Nursing and Rehabilitation in Ballinger.
He was born August 26, 1927 in Norton, Texas to Alfred and Evie (Savage) Fenwick. His parents preceded him in death. He was also preceded by a sister, Ima Mae Neeley.
Mitchell worked for 20 years on the Michaelis Ranch in the Wingate area. He lived many years at the nursing home where he was well-known and well-liked and even had his own garden. He was especially known for his love of coffee and cowboy movies. A family member said, “Those who knew him won’t forget him.”
Mitch is survived by his brother, Vernon Fenwick of Ballinger; nephews, Roy Fenwick of Graham, Rodney Fenwick and wife, Tammy, of Ballinger, Gordon Fenwick and wife, Regina, of Winters, Alfred Fenwick and wife, Monica, of San Antonio; several great-nieces and great-nephews; along with his “family” at Central Texas Nursing and Rehabilitation.
A memorial service will be held Thursday, July 5 at 10:00 a.m. at Lange Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will take place in the Wilmeth Cemetery.
