Mary Louise Elmore

Mary Louise McDonell Elmore, 77, of Ballinger and formerly of Paint Rock passed away Thursday, November 15, 2012 at Central Texas Nursing and Rehabilitation.

She was born March 27, 1935 in Dryden, Texas to Angus Allen and Ora Lee (Fletcher) McDonell. Mary married Edward Oliver Elmore on June 22, 1952 in Del Rio. She was employed as a bus driver for Odessa ISD for 14 years and had also worked as a grocery clerk for a time. She had lived in the Paint Rock community since 1966 and recently resided in the care center in Ballinger.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, and a son, Lawrence Allen Elmore.

Mary is survived by two sons, Mark E. Elmore of Midland and John C. Pate and wife, Audrey, of Ashland City, TN; a sister, Lanora Harvey of Paint Rock; nieces, Frances Maupin and Cindy Griswold both of Paint Rock; and an honorary son, Randall McClellan of Odessa. Several great-nieces and nephews, grandchildren, and one great-grandson also survive.

Visitation will be Sunday, November 18 from 4:00 to 6:00 p.m. at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. A graveside service will be held Monday, November 19 at 4:00 p.m. at the Paint Rock Cemetery with David Ellison officiating.
