Isidro Lopez, Jr.

October 27, 1929 — February 2, 2008

Isidro Lopez, Jr., 78, of Ballinger passed away peacefully Saturday evening February 2, 2008 at his daughter’s residence, surrounded by his loving family.

He was born in Rotan, Texas on October 27, 1929 to Isidro, Sr. and Ophelia Diaz Lopez. He served with the US Army during the Korean War. He was a float loader for Mueller Supply Co. in Ballinger for many years and was a member of the Baptist Church of the Light.

Isidro was preceded in death by his parents, his wife Gloria Ramos Lopez, a brother Saul Lopez, and two sisters, Delmira Lopez and Lydia Maldonado.

He is survived by four daughters, Vikki Rodriquez and husband, Gene of Ballinger, Sylvia Holloway and husband, Mike of San Angelo, Cynthia Hicks of Abilene and Melissa Lopez of Winters; two brothers, Adam Lopez of Eastland and Oved Lopez of Grand Prairie; four sisters, Eloisa Castro of Lubbock, Elida Rodriguez of Brownwood, Evelyn Garcia of Winters, and Elizabeth Armenta of Grand Prairie; and nine grandchildren, Avel Hicks of Ft. Benning, Georgia, Monica Hicks of Abilene, Ophelia Lopez of Winters, John Black of San Angelo, Jill Holloway of Lubbock, Lucy Andryss of Lake Orion, Michigan, and Clyde, Christal and Christin Garcia of Ballinger; and three great, granddaughters, Alia, Hailey and Mary Ann Renfro of Winters and three step-sons.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be Monday evening, February 4, 2008 from 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Lange Funeral Home. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday at First Baptist Church in Ballinger with Rev. Moses Padilla officiating. Burial will follow in Evergreen Cemetery under the direction of Lange Funeral Home. Pallbearers will be Clyde Garcia, Ophelia Lopez, John Black, Avel Hicks, Jonathan Rodriguez, Tony Garcia, Jr.

Memorials may be sent to the American Cancer Society or a favorite charity.
