Dolores Cheshire

March 29, 1939 — February 24, 2008

Dolores Violet Cheshire, 76, of Ballinger passed away Sunday, February 24, 2008 at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo.

Dolores was born March 29, 1931 in South Bend, Indiana and was the daughter of Clyde and Eula (Weese) Goehring. She graduated from Burbank High School in California and from Bethel College in Tennessee. She was associated with Paramount Studios in Los Angeles, California for a time and worked approximately twenty years for the Los Angeles County Sheriff Department, mostly as dispatcher. She was later employed with Century 21 Real Estate. She was a Baptist, a member of Eastern Star, and did hospital volunteer work. She was a member of the American Kennel Association and had a deep, special love of her country. She was a loving, caring mother and grandmother. “Beautiful eyes of blue, caring and true.”

She was preceded in death by her parents and by a son, Terry Jay Weatherwax.

Dolores is survived by five daughters, Vicky Lee Daves of Odessa, Tami W. Henderson of Brady, Lee Ann Weatherwax of Ballinger, Jodi L. Hooten of Amarillo, and Lori Baze of Odessa. Also surviving is a brother, Fred Kroeger of Stowe, Ohio, six grandchildren, and five great-grandchildren.

A memorial service will be held Tuesday, February 26, 2008 at 1:00 p.m. at Lange Funeral Home Chapel in Ballinger with Hospice Chaplain, Roger Roenfeldt officiating.
