Aurora (Dora) Valdez Garcia

Aurora (Dora) Valdez Fuentes Garcia, 93, of Rowena, Texas passed away Wednesday, March 20, 2013 at San Angelo Community Medical Center.

She was born June 6, 1919 to Manuel, Sr. and Jesusita Valdez Fuentes. Dora married Raul (Robert) Garcia who preceded her in death in February of 1999. She was a homemaker and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rowena.

She was also preceded in death by her parents; sisters, Alicia Martinez, Josefina Trevino, and Emma Bonilla; and brothers, Isabel, Manuel, Gilbert, and Enrique.

Aurora is survived by a brother, Jesus Fuentes of Del Rio; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Rosary will be recited Friday, March 22 at 7:00 p.m. at Lange Funeral Home Chapel in Ballinger. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Saturday, March 23 at 10:00 a.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rowena with Fr. Ariel Lagunilla celebrating. Burial will follow in St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery. Nephews will serve as pallbearers.
