Vince W. Dusek, Jr.

Vince W. Dusek, Jr., 96, of Lowake, passed away Easter Sunday afternoon, March 31, 2013 at his home.

He was born August 7, 1916 in Lowake, Texas to Vince Sr. and Mary Elizabeth (Ripple) Dusek. Vince married Frances Marie Ratchford on November 22, 1940 in Paint Rock. She preceded him in death April 13, 2006. Vince farmed in the area nearly all his life. He also played the guitar and enjoyed fishing.

Vince is survived by his daughter, Betty Dusek Bare of Lowake; his son, Vince W. Dusek, III of Ballinger; and by four grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. Also surviving is brother, Willie V. Dusek of Lowake; sister, Irene Holubec of Melvin; and brother-in-law, Elvin Mathis of Abilene.

The family wishes to express gratitude to caregivers, Lydia Medrano and Belinda Mata, for their care and devotion.

Visitation for family and friends will take place Tuesday, April 2 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, April 3 at 2:00 p.m. at the Rowena Protestant Cemetery.
