Delbert Daniel Lancaster, 73, of Ballinger, Texas passed away Tuesday, April 9, 2013 at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo, Texas.
He was born May 2, 1939 in Norton, Texas to Daniel Russell and Reba (Hurt) Lancaster. Delbert married Joyce Williamson on February 2, 1959 in Richmond, California. During the Vietnam War era, he served his country honorably in the US Army. He was a truck driver for Pride Oil until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a sister, Evelyn Flowers: and a grandbaby, Meagan.
Delbert is survived by his wife Joyce Lancaster of Ballinger; children, Cathy Brewer and husband, Dale, of Coleman; Christy McNeill and husband, Tommy, of Stiles; Scotty Lancaster and wife, Jo Ann, of San Angelo; and Patty Branham and husband, Kenny, of Big Spring. Also surviving are sister, Kitty Hill and husband, Larry, of San Angelo; eight grandchildren; four (4½) great-grandchildren; and a very good friend, Larry Flippin of Ballinger.
Visitation will be from 7:00 to 8:00 pm on Thursday, April 11 at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. A graveside service will be held on Friday, April 12 at 2:00 pm at Old Runnels Cemetery.
