Hazel Christine (Sharp) Wade, lifetime resident of Ballinger, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Ballinger Memorial Hospital. She was 93.
She was born October 5, 1919 in Ballinger, Texas to William Frank and Dollie Lee (Hamilton) Sharp. Christine married William Davis Wade on May 4, 1935 in Ballinger. He preceded her in death August 2, 2004.

She was a member of Ballinger’s First Baptist Church and graciously offered her fine culinary skills there, too, by cooking on Wednesday nights for over 20 years. In addition to cooking, she also enjoyed sewing and gardening. She loved her Lord, and she loved her family. She left a legacy of faithfulness, kindness, generosity, and genuine love to the generations that follow.
Christine is survived by three daughters, Darlene Stokes and husband, Buddy, of Ballinger; Gwin McAlister and husband, Sam, of Lubbock; and Sue Morrish and husband, Rick, of Ballinger. Also surviving is sister, Joyce Wall of Temple; sisters-in-law, Janie Wade of Ballinger, Virgie Wade of Winters, and Para Pasche of Cedar Hill. Seven grandchildren are left to treasure her memory and continue the legacy: Kay Tarkenton and Tim, Diana Hood and Wes, Kandy Kirk and Scott, Monty McKay, Kris Armitage and Brad, Rick Morrish and Renae, and Stefani Cole. Eleven great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren also survive.
