Barbara Knight

Barbara Kay (Damron) Knight, a lifetime resident of Runnels County, passed away Sunday, April 14, 2013 at Central Texas Nursing and Rehabilitation in Ballinger.

She was born October 21, 1935 in Crews, Texas to Charles Fred and Earldean Margaret (Payne) Damron. Barbara married Milton Ray Knight on September 15, 1951 in Ballinger. She was a homemaker and a member of Ninth Street Church of Christ.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Darrell Damron; and great-grandson, Hank Smith.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Ray of Ballinger; two daughters, Malisia Goetz of Ballinger, and Jana Foster and husband, John, also of Ballinger; sisters, Celesta Bahlman and husband, Nelan, and Peggy Pate and husband, Larry. Also surviving are grandchildren, Bridget Chancellor and Jeff, Blake Smith and Kenzie, Ryan Smith and Robin, Brandon Goetz and Millie, Nathan Smith and Marsha; and nine great-grandchildren.

The funeral service will be held on Tuesday, April 16 at 4:00 pm at Ninth Street Church of Christ in Ballinger with Portis Ribble and Max Pratt officiating. Burial will follow in Old Runnels Cemetery.
