Willie “Clyde” McDuffee, 85, passed away on Monday, September 9, 2013 at Ballinger Healthcare and Rehabilitation.
He was born on September 4, 1928 to Aubrey and Bertha (McCullough) McDuffee in Fort Towson, Oklahoma. Clyde married Ouida Porter on June 7, 1947 in Ballinger. She preceded him in death on April 27, 2002. He was an auto mechanic for many years. He also worked for the City of Ballinger for several years. Later in life, he was in charge of maintenance for Ballinger Housing Authority. Clyde attended Ninth Street Church of Christ and was a member of the Ballinger JC’s.
He was also preceded in death by his parents and his brother, Ernest McDuffee.
Clyde is survived by his daughters, Elaine Paske and husband, Donald of Ballinger, Sharon Goetz and husband, Wayne of Rowena, and sons, Dillard McDuffe and wife Sherry of Ballinger, Gary McDuffee and friend Pamela Schnieder of Rhome. Also surviving are seven grandchildren and fourteen great-grandchildren.
Visitation for family and friends will be Wednesday, September 11 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Lange Funeral Home. Graveside services will be Thursday, September 12 at 6:30 pm at Evergreen Cemetery in Ballinger.
