Bobbie Jean (Bell) Goetz, 85, of Ballinger passed away Friday, September 13, 2013 at Ballinger Memorial Hospital.

She was born the seventh of eleven children on October 18, 1927 in Ballinger to Raymond Leamon and Laura Edna (Hubbard) Bell. She married William F. “Bill Goetz on October 7, 1946 in Ballinger. They opened a small grocery store on Strong Ave. and later built Bill’s Superette on Hutchings Ave where they and their children kept it in operation for over 40 years. Bobbie also worked as a teller for the First National Bank of Ballinger for many years. She was an active member of the First United Methodist Church and Ballinger Memorial Hospital Auxiliary.

Bill preceded her in death on January 8, 2006. She was also preceded by her parents, a son, Gary Lynn Goetz in 1993, and all her brothers and sisters.

Bobbie is survived by her children; son, Michael Goetz and wife, Leah of Ballinger and daughter, Debbie Evans and husband, Richard of Abilene; daughter-in-law, Karen Goetz of Orient; grandchildren, Jason Goetz, Shauna Yeager, Bridget Chancellor, and Brandon Goetz; and 8 great grandchildren.

Visitation will be Saturday, September 14 from 6:00 to 7:00 pm at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. Services will be at 3:00 pm, Sunday, September 15 at First United Methodist Church in Ballinger with Rev. Buddy Moore officiating. Burial will follow at Old Runnels Cemetery.
