We want to give special thanks to C.B. Moody for being such a good friend to mom. Thanks also to Ballinger Healthcare and Rehab, they loved Mama.

Mom left quite a legacy; she left many children, grandchildren and great grandchildren to carry on. She was most famous for being a great ball player. She played catcher for the 1951 Mereta softball team that beat the infamous Red Chicks, coached by Blondie Cross. Dad tried to get them to play again but Cross refused. Mom smiled about that to the end.

Mama was a game player. She kept all of us occupied with jacks, mumbely peg, wahoo, dominos and mostly baseball. She never ever let us win. We had to do that on our own merit.

Our mother was kind and loving but ruled with a firm hand. We thank her for all the lessons that helped us grow into the men and women we have become today. She will truly be missed

Memorial service will be held Saturday, October 12, 2013 at 2:00 p.m. at Lange Funeral Home Chapel.
