Joy Adalie Overby

Joy A. Overby, 81, of Ballinger, died Saturday, October 12, 2013 at Ballinger Healthcare and Rehab in Ballinger.

She was born on August 16, 1932 in Ballinger to Charles Vade and Virdie Jackson. She married Robert Louis Overby on November 19, 1951 in San Angelo. He preceded her in death on July 1, 1988. She was also preceded by her parents and a son, Robert Glenn Overby.
Joy was a homemaker but spent some time working for Jumbo Burger, Sue Ann and Ballinger Healthcare and Rehab in Ballinger.

She is survived by her children, Janet Jackson of San Angelo and Steve Overby of Ballinger; her grandchildren, Angela Fernandez, and Jason, Bonnie and Mandy Overby.
A brother, David Jackson and wife Janice of Olfen also survive.

There will be a visitation for family and friends from 6:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, October 14, 2013 at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. Graveside services will be held at 10:00 am on Tuesday October 15, 2013 at Evergreen Cemetery in Ballinger with Max Pratt officiating.
