William Vinc Dusek, 95, of Lowake passed away Thursday, October 17, 2013 at Central Texas Nursing and Rehabilitation in Ballinger.
He was born July 13, 1918 to Vinc Sr. and Mary Elizabeth (Ripple) Dusek. William honorably served his country during World War II as a sergeant in the Army Air Corps. On April 16, 1948, he married Pauline Rose Urban in Miles, TX. They shared 56 years together before Pauline’s death on September 18, 2004. William farmed and ranched all his life in the Lowake area.
He was preceded in death by his wife and parents.
William is survived by his sons, Calvin Dusek and Bob Dusek and wife Nancy, both of Lowake; a sister Irene Holubec of Melvin; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law, Elvin Mathis of Abilene, Edvin and Betty Urban of Midland, Henry and Laura Urban of Midland, Willie and Stella Urban of North Carolina, and Joe Carver Brosig of Paint Rock. Also surviving are many nieces and nephews.
The family would like to give special thanks to Ballinger Hospital staff, Central Texas Nursing and Rehabilitation staff, and Ballinger Hospice staff.
A graveside service will be at held at 2:00 pm, Saturday in Rowena at the Protestant Cemetery
