Ricardo Gonzales

Ricardo Gonzales, 83, of Ballinger passed away Tuesday, May 27, 2008 at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo.

He was born April 19, 1925 in Moore, Texas to Isidro and Juesa Gonzales. He married Eva Martinez on April 24, 1988 in Ballinger. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Ballinger and was a tire repairman in San Angelo for thirty years. Ricardo served in the US Navy during WWII.

Mr. Gonzales was preceded in death by sons, Flores Gonzales and Carlos Gonzales, stepson, Jessie Garcia, and a sister, Rosa Costillo.

Ricardo is survived by his wife, Eva, of Ballinger; by two sons, Arturo Gonzales of San Angelo and Ruben Gonzales of Dallas; by a daughter, Dalia Gonzales Womack of Dallas; stepdaughters, Mary Lou Chavez and Betty Bermea of Salem, Oregon; Linda Garcia and Eva Garcia of Portland, Oregon; Diane Quintero of Ballinger; Brenda Reece of Roslyn, Washington; and by stepsons, Juan and Jerry Garcia of Boise, Idaho; and Jimmy Garcia of Denver Colorado.

Also surviving are brother, Isidro Gonzales and wife, Judy, of Odessa: sisters, Geneva Costillo of San Angelo; Betty Hogeda also of San Angelo; Esther Leal of Cuero; and Carolyn Rendon and husband, Diego, of Spicewood.

Funeral services for Mr. Gonzales will be Friday, May 30 at 4:00 p.m. at the First Baptist Church in Ballinger with Bro. Bobby Broyles officiating. Burial will follow in the Latin-American Cemetery.
