Thomas “Kyle” Mansell, 66, went to be with our Lord on January 17, 2014, after an almost one year battle with cancer. Kyle was born July 3, 1947.
Kyle was survived by his wife, Kay Mansell, his children Jeffrey Mansell and wife Sherry, and Bridget Scott and husband Cody; his grandchildren Breeann Mansell, Sydney Mansell, Brian Scott, Kaylee Scott and Jase Scott; his sister Kay Davis and husband Tommy, and his brother Chauncey Mansell and wife Susan.
He was preceded in death by his parents Gladys Lee Morgan Mansell and Claude Norris Mansell, and a granddaughter Jenna Paige Mansell.
Kyle was born and raised in Ballinger, TX. He graduated from Texas Tech University and married Kay Redman on August 15, 1969. He served with the National Guard for two years in Ballinger. Kyle and Kay ran the family business; Mansell Bros. until it closed and then he began his journey at Mueller Supply, Inc., and worked there for almost thirty years.
Kyle was quick to laugh, a friend to all, and could fix anything. He loved to ride his motorcycle and play the guitar. He had an amazingly fun spirit and was loved by all.
There will be a visitation for family and friends from 5:00 to 6:00 pm Sunday January 19, 2014 at Lange funeral home.
A celebration of Kyle’s life will be held at 10:00 am Monday at the First Baptist Church in Ballinger, with Rev. Ferris Akins officiating. Burial will follow at the Old Runnels Cemetery.
