Vernon Udell Wallace

On the morning of January 22, 2014, Vernon passed away peacefully at Regency House in San Angelo, Texas.

Vernon was 85 years old. He is preceded in death by his wife Thyra Wallace, two sons: Glen Wallace and Gregory Wallace; one granddaughter, Angela Wallace and two brothers: Archie Wallace and Robert Wallace.

Vernon was born on February 29, 1928, in San Saba, Texas.

Vernon was a long time resident of Ballinger, Texas and worked for Ballinger Butane Co. for most of his life. He loved to fish and hunt.

Vernon is survived by four children: Doug and Marion Wallace of Odessa, TX; Randell Wallace of San Angelo, TX; Michael and Jennifer Wallace of San Angelo, TX; Michelle and Clay Rasmussen of Cleburne, TX; nine grandchildren and three great-grandchildren. He is also survived by his sisters Nila Kitchens, Lenora McKenzie and Myrtle King.

A viewing will be held from 6-7 p.m. Friday at Lange Funeral Home. Funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday at Lange Funeral Home. Burial service following at Garden of Memories in Ballinger, TX.
