Michael Dale Watkins

Michael Dale Watkins, 63, of Ballinger passed away Wednesday, February 05, 2014 at his residence.

He was born on November 5, 1950 to Denver and Joy (Burris) Watkins. Michael was a truck driver, by trade, mostly hauling cattle. He was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by his children; Shayne Watkins of Ballinger, Shanna Calaway and husband Joe of San Angelo, Apryll Priest and husband Matt of Round Rock, April Plaisance and husband Clint of New Orleans, LA, John Watkins of Junction, and Joseph Watkins of San Angelo and siblings; Kenneth Watkins and wife Renee of Lockport, Il., Barbara Jones and husband Steve of Kansas City, MO., Pamela Schkade and husband Charles of De Rio, TX., Quentin Watkins and wife Margaret of Ballinger, Jimmy Watkins and wife Pamilla of San Angelo, TX., Marvin Watkins and wife Julie of Pearce, AZ., Denise Beimer and husband Howard of Ballinger, Scott Watkins and wife Stormie of Ballinger, Richard Watkins and wife Dinette of Midkiff, TX., Kathryn Halfmann of San Angelo, Cynthia Rubeo of Lubbock, TX, and Joy Cavazos and husband Ernest of Ballinger. Also surviving are 12 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren.

Visitation will be from 6-7 pm on Friday, February 7 at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. Graveside service will be held at 2:00 pm on Saturday, February 8, 2014 at Old Runnels Cemetery in Ballinger.
