Viriginia Dell Farmer

Virginia Dell Mountz Farmer, 85, of Ballinger, Texas passed from this life into the arms of Jesus February 13, 2014. She was born January 22, 1929, in Pharr, Texas. Virginia married “Happy “Jack Famer on October 26, 1947. Hap preceded her in death on December 15, 1998. Virginia was a teacher’s aide at Ballinger Elementry School for over thirty years. She was known for wearing clothes the color that was being taught and baking alphabet cookies for each letter as it was taught. Virginia also loved to sew and was known to stay up all night to make a new outfit to wear to school the next day. She taught three generations of students and was always being sought out and called “Mrs. Farmer” when she was out in public. Her love for her students was always obvious and she enjoyed doing little extras for them. Virginia is preceded in death by her parents William Joseph and Dimmie Dell Mountz, and two brothers William Joseph Mountz, Jr. and Robert Francis Mountz. She is survived by two sons Jack Farmer and wife Dorothy of Houston, Mike Farmer and wife Martha of Boerne, and two daughters, Shari Wink and husband Harvey of Robert Lee, and Dimmie Mason and husband Freddy of San Angelo. She is also survived by nine grandchildren who she loved to take on grandkid trips; Ginger Farmer Stewart and husband Stephen, Krystal Farmer Ussery and husband Mike, Jenny Wink Allemeier and husband Bernie, Alisha Wink Rivers and husband Charlie, Joseph Wink and wife Ciara, Michael Farmer and wife Sandy, Ryan Farmer and wife Jennifer, Cody Mason, and Whitney Mason. Also surviving her are fourteen great grandchildren. Funeral service will be graveside at Evergreen Cemetery in Ballinger, Texas, at 2 pm,  February 16th, 2014, officiated by Don Sessom.
