Janie Patton Leady

Janie Patton Leady, 65, of Ballinger passed away Sunday, February 16, 2014 at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo.

She was born on September 16, 1948 to Renzo and Rose (Cornelius) Patton in San Angelo, Texas. Janie married James Frank Leady in 1974 and they shared fifteen years together before his passing in 1989. She worked as a supervisor for a property management company. Janie was a member of the Baptist church. She loved her grandchildren and especially taking them to the duck pond. She also loved to cook.

Janie was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and a brother, Bobby Patton.

She is survived by a daughter, Susan Jacob and husband Mark of Winters and a son, Frank Leady and wife Heather of Ballinger. Also surviving are five grandchildren; Whisper, James, MaKayla, Megan, and Matt.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 pm on Wednesday, February 19 at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. A graveside service will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, February 20 at Rough Creek Cemetery at Novice, Texas with Lynn Smith officiating.
