Lois Jonas Roberts

Mrs. Lois Jonas Roberts, 84, wife of Woodrow L. Roberts, passed away Thursday, March 06, 2014, at Grand Strand Regional Medical Center in Myrtle Beach. Born in Winters, TX, Mrs. Roberts was the daughter of the late Harry and Etta Drummond Jonas. She was a homemaker and member of Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. Mrs. Roberts was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother and was a friend to all. Her pastimes included knitting, sewing, and talking on the telephone. She was also a past Worthy Matron of the Eastern Star in Texas.

Survivors include her husband; children, David A. Wheeler (Marie) of Las Vegas, NV, Dennis L. Wheeler (Lou) of Spring Branch, TX, Leona A. Trantham (Darrel) of Water Valley, TX, Charlotte Wheeler of Ft. Smith, AR, and Tonya Grenwelge (Stephen) of Winters, TX; step-daughter, Julie Ann Little (Jerry) of Witchita, KS; 12 grandchildren; 15 great grandchildren; 3 great-great grandchildren; and sister, Betty Grenwelge of Winters, TX.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, March 8, 2014, at 10:00AM at Goldfinch Funeral Home, Conway Chapel, officiated by Rev. Ragsdale Allsbrook and Rev. Jimmy Floyd. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.

Funeral services in Texas will be held Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 2:00PM at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger, TX. Interment will follow in the Lakeview Cemetery in Winters, TX. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.
