Ednaearle “Tommye” Crisco Parks, 88, of Russellville, Alabama and formerly of Ballinger passed away Thursday, July 10, 2008 in an Alabama hospital.

“Tommye” was born March 13, 1920 to S. C. and Bertha (Boswell) Crisco in Ballinger.
On December 1, 1946 she married Samuel “Sarge” Parks, who preceded her in death in 1993. She was also preceded in death by a daughter, Jacqueline Slaughter. Mrs. Parks was a member of the Nazarene Church and was a homemaker.

Tommye is survived by her daughters, Victoria Mirto and husband, Robert, of Leander; Tommye Jean Lindsey and husband, Kenneth, of Russellville, Alabama; a brother, S. C. “Jack” Crisco, Jr. and wife, Juanita, of San Angelo; and a sister Clara Gaines of Salido. Also surviving are eight grandchildren, Dr. Mary Mirto and husband, Marty Spiller; Valerie Thomson and husband, Rodney; Lori Pierce and husband, Greg; Logan Mirto; Sammy D. Nall and wife, Jennifer; Sadedra Slay and husband, Jimmy; Ken Lindsey, Jr. and wife, Erin; and Tommy Lindsey. Fourteen great-grandchildren survive.

Visitation for family and friends was Saturday, July 12 from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. A graveside service was held Sunday, July 13 at 2:00 p.m. at Ballinger Evergreen Cemetery. Family members officiated and grandsons served as pallbearers.
