Jamie Sue Palmer

October 29, 1992 — April 7, 2014

Jamie Sue Palmer, 21, of Ballinger ascended to her heavenly home on Monday, April 7, 2014.

Jamie was born on October 29, 1992, in San Angelo, Texas to Herb and Debbie Palmer.  She was a lifetime resident of Ballinger, where she graduated from Ballinger High School in 2010.  She was attending Angelo State University where she was pursuing a degree in Early Childhood Education, with an emphasis on special education.  Though Jamie’s time on earth was brief, she lived her life to the fullest and touched the lives of many along her journey.  Jamie had a great love for animals of any kind and an extra special place in her heart belonged to her dog Nola.  Jamie was always willing to help anybody at anytime and never shied away from a tough job.  Another great source of joy for Jamie was her niece Kynlee, she wanted to teach her everything she knew and absolutely adored her.

She is survived by her parents, her brother J.H. Palmer and wife Liz of Ballinger, and her niece Kynlee Palmer.  Also surviving are her grandparents,  James and Martha Palmer and Joe and Wanda Binder; aunts and uncles, Lisa Halfmann and husband, Dale and Butch Wood and wife, Becky; and cousins, Kendra, Jillian, and Isabella Halfmann; Morgann, Tanner, Hunter, and Cotton Wood.  Her special friend and companion, her dog Nola also survives.

Jamie was preceded in death by her grandfather, Lucius Wood.

Visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00-8:00 pm on Wednesday, April 9 at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger.  Services will be at 2:00 pm on Thursday, April 10 at First Presbyterian Church in Ballinger with Pastor Wilma Harris officiating.  Burial will follow at Old Runnels Cemetery.  Memorials can be made to the Jamie Palmer Memorial Fund for Special Needs Children at Ballinger National Bank, the Humane Society of Ballinger, 1708 N. 11 th Ballinger, TX 76821, Meals on Wheels, or a favorite charity.

Why?
“We did not know that morning
What sorrow the day would bring.
Our loss was great, the pain severe,
We lost someone we loved so dear.
God called you home so quickly
That we could not say goodbye
Our sorrow looms so deeply
because only God knows why.
You remain forever in our hearts.”
