Helen W. Alexander

Helen Alexander, 90, of Winters, Texas, passed away Sunday morning, May 11 2014, at a care facility in Abilene.
She was born January 16, 1924 in the Cove of the Mountain near Content, TX to Jesse and Carmen (Bowlen) Jenkins. She met and married the love of her life, Norval Alexander. They married on March 14, 1942 in Crews and to this union, three sons were born, Johnny Norval, Jerry Lynn and Sherrill Kenneth Alexander.
Helen was a homemaker and enjoyed gardening, canning, quilting and many other crafts. She was a very loving wife, mother and grandmother.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, Norval in 1992, her son Johnny, and a sister, Margie Jenkins Fisher.

She is survived by her sons, Sherrill Kenneth (S.K.) Alexander of Crews and Jerry Lynn and wife, Jeri Lynn Alexander of Tucson, AZ; grandchildren, Dusty and wife, Nancy, Casey and wife, Mellissa, Brandi and husband, Rob Lasiter, and Levi and wife, Tonya. Seven great grandchildren and a sister, LaVonda Foreman of Kerrville also survives.

A time of visitation for family and friends will be from 6:00 to 7:00 pm on Monday, May 12th , at Lange Funeral Home. Service will be held Tuesday, May 13, 2014, at 10:00 am at Hopewell Baptist Church in Crews, TX with burial following at Crews Cemetery.
