Louise Mary Thomerson

Louise Mary McShan Thomerson, 92, of Windsor, (formerly of San Angelo, Texas) passed away on Saturday, May 24, 2014, at Grace Pointe in Greeley, Colorado.

She was born in a tent in Strawn, Texas, to Meade Wilson and Grace (Winans) McShan on July 19, 1921. Louise was raised in the Bethel community and graduated from Ballinger High School in Ballinger, Texas. She was a graduate of Shannon School of Nursing in 1942. She retired as director of nursing from Golden Years Nursing Home in Christoval, Texas, in 1987, where she worked for 24 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Meade and Grace McShan; sister Lillian Mae Henson; and son Dr. Jerry Thomerson, DVM.

Louise is survived by her children, Mrs. Kay (Richard) Drake, Windsor, Colorado, Mrs. Barbara (Tom) Vernor, Lake Jackson, Texas, and Mr. Al (Diane) Thomerson, San Angelo, Texas; daughter-in-law Gail Nichols, Concan, Texas; 12 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; brother Fred (Mary Ann) McShan, San Angelo Texas; and sister Dorothy (Tom) Parker, Pipe Creek, Texas.

Viewing will be held from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. Friday, May 30, 2014, at Lange Funeral Home, Ballinger, Texas. Graveside service will follow at 11 a.m. Friday, in Evergreen Cemetery in Ballinger, Texas. Memorials can be made to a favorite charity.
