David Waterfill, 43, of Ballinger went home to be with his beloved Uncle Kenny, Tuesday, August 12, 2014. He passed away at his home after a long struggle with PTSD.
He was born November 17, 1970 to Ron and Joyce (Owens) Waterfill in San Angelo, TX. He loved to fish and camp with his Dad, Uncle Kenny, and great-grandfather on the Concho. He worked as a roll operator for 13 years and a general electrician. He joined the Marines in 1991. He completed basic training at Parris Island, South Carolina and served in the Somalia War and received numerous awards.
David is preceded in death by his beloved Uncle Kenny Noble; grandmothers Verna Marie Noble and Frances Owens; grandfathers Milton R Owens and John Waterfill; great-grandparents Earl and Willie (Big Mama) West.
He is survived by his three precious sons that he loved so dearly, Clay (Shalyn) Waterfill of Ballinger, Cole Waterfill and Jordan Graham of Louisville, KY; parents, Ron and Joyce Waterfill; sister, Beverly (Bobby) Allgeier; grandmother, Mary Lee Waterfill of Taylorsville, KY; nephew Clint Allgeier (Morgan); neice, Lindsey (Drew) Rose; two aunts, Marilyn (Bender) Martin of San Angelo and Annelle (Gene) Hoene of Taylorsville, KY.; uncle, Milton Lee Owens of Ballinger; numerous cousins and best friend Mac McIntyre of South Carolina.
Pallbearers will be Clint Allgeier, Bobby Allgeier, Mark Hardin, Lance Berkley, Chance Berkley, Tyler McBurney, and Bender Martin. Honorary Pallbearers will be Milton (Uncle Buddy) Owens, Dan West, Mack West, Jerry Owens, Gene Hoene, Dan Kennedy, and Mac McIntyre.
Visitation for family and friends will be from 5:00 to 8:00 pm Friday, August 15th at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. Funeral services will be at 10:00 am Saturday, August 16 at Lange Funeral Home Chapel. Myron Halford, pastor of Glory Road Cowboy Church will be officiating. Burial will follow in Old Runnels Cemetery.
