Angelita Delacerda Jalomo

Angelita Delacerda Jalomo, 78, of Ballinger, Texas passed away Friday, November 7, 2014 at Shannon Medical Center in San Angelo.

She was born August 27, 1936 in Ballinger to Galo and Eduvijes (Hernandez) Alfaro. She retired from Dry Manufacturing after several years of assembly line work. She was a member of St. Mary Catholic Church.

She was preceded in death by her first husband, Catarino Rivera in 1967; four brothers and one sister; son, Mario Rivera; and grandson, Cyneka Lee.

Angelita is survived by her children, John Joe Rivera and wife Kristine of Midland; Oscar Rivera, Anna Martinez both of Ballinger; Catarino Rivera, Jr. and wife JoAnn of Stephenville; Rebecca Rivas of Lubbock; Joelda Jalomo of San Angelo; Frank Jalomo and wife Leticia of San Antonio; Irene Jalomo and Mark Arthur of Ballinger. Surviving siblings are Luisa Herrera, Richard Alfaro both of Lubbock; David Alfaro of Ballinger, Martin Gomez of Austin, and Yolando Jalomo of Ballinger. Also surviving are 22 grandchildren, 38 ½ great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Rosary will be recited Sunday, November 9, at 7:00 pm at Lange Funeral Home Chapel in Ballinger. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 am on Monday, November 10, at St. Mary Catholic Church, Ballinger, with Fr. Hugh Wade officiating. Burial will follow in the Latin-American Cemetery.
