Virginia “Jeanne” Frances Orgon, 94, passed away Monday, February 16, 2015 in Abilene, Texas.

Jeanne was born in Denver, Colorado on March 25, 1920. She grew up in a large, loving family. She moved to the community of Crews, Texas in the 1940’s, which was quite a change from living in a big city such as Denver. Later she moved to Ballinger where she lived and called home for many years before moving to Abilene. In Ballinger, she was a beautician and the owner of Jeanne’s Beauty Salon. She was a member of St. Mary’s Altar Society, she loved to cook, bake pecan pie, entertain family and friends, and travel.

She was preceded in death by her husbands Douglas Black and Andrew Orgon; her daughter Kathleen Fuller; her parents Frank and Rose DeMoro, Sr.; her brothers and sisters Frank DeMoro, Jr., Joseph DeMoro, Raymond DeMoro, Victor DeMoro, Theresa DeMoro Perry, Tony DeMoro, and Phyliss DeMoro Watson.

She is survived by three grandchildren Jamie Cauchon and her husband David of Abilene, Jodie Glick and her husband Russell of Bedford, TX, and David Skinner, Jr. and his wife Jamie of Lexington Park, Maryland; along with six great-grandchildren, Gracie, Shawna, Cally, Tessa, William, and David. She is also survived by her brother Michael DeMoro and wife Joann of Littleton, Colorado and several nephews and nieces.

The family wishes to thank the staff of Windcrest Healthcare Center, Hospice of the Big Country, Dr. Sandra Hazelip, and St. Paul United Methodist Church Homebound Ministry for their loving, compassionate care.

The memorial service has been rescheduled for Saturday, March 7 at 11:00 am at St. Mary Catholic Church in Ballinger.
