Philip Lee Davis

Philip Davis, 65, of Talpa passed away Thursday, April 9, 2015 at Hendrick Medical Center in Abilene.

He was born March 30, 1950 in Monahans, Texas to Raymond and Frances (Clark) Davis. He married Elan Hitt in March of 1971. She preceded him in death in 1992. He was a member of the Emmanuel Baptist Church in Talpa. Philip was a contract painter in the area for many, many years.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Robert (Buddy), Jimmy, Jack, and Alan; sisters, Nell Rice, Molly Halfmann, Andrea Koepp, Virginia (Ginger) Laflin, and Cora Dillard.

He is survived by his brothers, Walter (Wally) Davis of Ballinger and Benny Davis of Valera; sister, Clara Halfmann of Ballinger; numerous nieces and nephews; and his two special pets (2 girls) Ginger and Nancy.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00-7:00 pm on Sunday, April 12 at Lange Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, April 13 at Lange Funeral Home Chapel. A private burial will follow.

The family request memorials be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Shriner’s Hospitals for Children, or a favorite charity.
