Julitta Holtman, 99, of Grand Prairie, Texas passed away Thursday, April 30, 2015 at her son’s residence in Godley.
She was born January 12, 1916 in Westphalia, TX to Eugene and Marie (Sokoloski) Beach. Julitta married Robert William Holtman on September 26, 1934 in Westphalia. They shared 54 loving years together before Robert’s passing on May 25, 1989. She spent many years working in the cafeteria at Jefferson Junior High and elementary schools in Grand Prairie. She was known lovingly as Nanna to her many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great-grandchildren, and to many who also loved her.
Julitta was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Robert; son, Larry; daughter-in-law, Jeanie Holtman; granddaughter, Jackie Stone; brothers, Rubert, Norbert, and Danny Beach; and sister, Catherine.
She is survived by her sons, Bobby Holtman of Godley, TX, Gene Holtman and wife Evelyn of Grand Prairie, and Dennis Holtman and wife Sarah of Arlington; her daughter, Frances Stone of Mansfield; her sisters, Eugenia Lange of Rowena, Margie Zentner of Rowena, and Anna Marie Haechton and husband Marvin of Odessa; her brother, Bernard Beach and wife Grace of Rowena. Also surviving are 13 grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Rosary will be recited at 7:00 pm on Friday, May 8 at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rowena. Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 9, 2015 at St. Joseph Catholic Church with Fr. Ariel Lagunilla celebrating. Burial will follow at St. Boniface Catholic Cemetery in Olfen.
