Roy K. Parks

Roy Kenneth Parks, of Ballinger, left our Earthly home on Monday, May 18, 2015, in San Angelo, to go to his Heavenly father. He will always be the loving husband, dad, son, brother, uncle, nephew, brother-in-law, son-in-law, and friend to many.

Roy was born February 4, 1975 in Knox City, TX to Randal and Mabel (Ellifritz) Parks. Roy graduated in 1994 from Bronte High School. After high school, he honorably served his country in the United States Air Force from 1996 to 2000 in Operation Southern Watch. Shortly after his return to San Angelo, in July of 2000, he was reunited with Kimberly Gully. Then, on February 8, 2008 he finally married the love of his life. He worked for Elite Solutions as a telecommunications installer for several years.

Roy was preceded in death by his mother, Mabel “Nona”; his brother Shawn Wright; his grandfather Alex Parks; and grandparents Mr. and Mrs. Ellifritz.

He is survived by his wife, Kimberly of Ballinger; his son Zach Gully of Ballinger; his daughter Tiffeney Parks of San Angelo; his father Randal Parks and wife June of Barksdale; his siblings Kevin Parks and wife Sue of San Angelo, Carla Shelly and husband Mike of San Angelo, Bubba Bias of Grape Creek, and Tommy Peiser and wife Tammy of Miles. Roy is also survived by many Air Force brothers and sisters, nieces and nephews, and aunts and uncles.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 7:00-8:00 pm on Friday, May 22 at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, May 23 at Glory Road Cowboy Church in Ballinger with Myron Halford officiating. Burial will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery in Rowena.
