John Duain Bradshaw, 91, of Ballinger passed away Thursday, May 21, 2015 at Ballinger Memorial Hospital.
He was born June 28, 1923 in Hillsboro, TX to Guy Everett and Florence Elizabeth (Nichols) Bradshaw. John enlisted in the United States Army in 1943 and honorably served until 1946. John married Pauline McQueen on September 25, 1971 in Hobbs, New Mexico. He owned and operated Bradshaw Car Company for many years. John was an active member of the local National Guard, Lions Club and Rotary Club. He was a member of the First Christian Church.
John was preceded in death by his parents; his brothers Charles, Jim Bob, and Cecil Bradshaw; and sister, Edra Horn.
He is survived by his wife of 43 years Pauline; son Ronnie Bradshaw and wife Vicki of Austin; step-daughters Judy McKinney and Rick Hoelscher of Ballinger and Scarlotte Mikeska and Brent of San Angelo; sisters Avis Van Winkle, Nell Dorner, and Barbara Roe Athertun; grandchildren Johnny Bradshaw, Jimmy Bradshaw, Brett Mikeska, Brad Mikeska, Breanna Mikeska, Bami Wood, and Beau McDougal; and 17 great-grandchildren.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 pm on Saturday, May 23 at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, May 24 at Lange Funeral Home Chapel with Johnny Bradshaw officiating. Pallbearers will be, Jimmy Bradshaw, Brett Mikeska, Brad Mikeska, Beau McDougal, and Noel Hoff. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Ballinger.
