Felton Gene Hilliard

Felton Gene Hilliard, 59, of Ballinger, Texas passed away Friday, June 19, 2015.

Felton was born October 29, 1955 to Elver Gene and Cordelia (Keesee) Hilliard in Ballinger. He worked as a painter and contractor in the area. He married Becky Bowman Gift on August 30, 1982 in Ballinger, and they had all together seven children and stepchildren: Mindy Wilson of Hamilton, Amy Hilliard of Groom, Helen Rae Gift and husband John Guenther of San Angelo, Robert Gift III of Albuquerque, NM, Amanda Lynn Anderson and husband Mike of San Angelo, Tawnee Cavazos and husband Gilbert of Ballinger, and Kelly M. Gift and spouse Roxanne Warren of Conroe.

Felton was preceded in death by his sister, Diane, and by two grandchildren, Chase Gift and Atalie Gift.

Felton is survived by his wife, Becky; mother and stepfather, Cordelia and John Tenny; siblings, Betty Ellis and husband Keith, Sandra Boydston, and Kelly Hilliard and wife Barbara; seven children, 10 grandchildren, and six great-grandchildren.

Felton enjoyed joking and giving people a lot of heck! (Especially his wife, Becky)

Visitation will be 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. on Monday, June 22, at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. Funeral Services will be at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday at Lange Funeral Home Chapel with Elder Keith Ellis officiating. Burial will follow in Lakeview Cemetery in Winters. Sons-in-law and grandsons will serve as pallbearers.
