Carmelita Anna Dierschke

Carmelita Anna Schwertner Dierschke, 69, of Ballinger, formerly of Wall, passed away Monday, March 30, 2009 at Ballinger Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

She was born March 8, 1940 to Gus and Rose (Gruber) Schwertner. She graduated from Miles High School in 1958 and Southwest Texas State University in 1962 with a Bachelor’s Degree in secondary education. She married Marvin Dierschke on April 28, 1962 to which their union produced five beautiful children, Brian, Cheryl, Dana, Christy, and Grant.

Carmelita was president of the Wall Young Homemakers in 1964 and was a member of Wall Catholic Daughters. Carmelita was a good mother and a good friend to all who knew her in her short years. She suffered so much in this world and was always praying the rosary.

She is survived by her daughters, Cheryl Dierschke of Conroe, Christy and Rick Winn of Austin, Dana and Mike Nezwek of Austin; sons, Brian Dierschke of Wall, and Grant Dierschke of San Angelo. She is also survived by six grandchildren, Alisha Das, Madison Winn, Brooke Winn, Christian Winn, Nicole Winn, and Chandler Nezwek. Also surviving are her sisters, Lorreta Schniers of Wall, Rita Pitts of Miles, and Yvonne Binder of Miles.

Rosary will be recited Wednesday, April 1 at 7:00 p.m. at Lange Funeral Home Chapel in Ballinger. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Thursday, April 2 at 4:00 p.m. at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Rowena with burial following in St. Joseph Cemetery.
