Brooxie Hogue Teters, 71, of Ballinger passed away Thursday, February 18, 2016 at Ballinger Home Healthcare and Rehabilitation.

She was born August 7, 1944 in Atlanta, TX to Cleburn Lee and Vera Ola (Steed) Hogue. After high school, she worked as a general telephone operator in San Angelo and Ballinger, receptionist at Dr. Green’s clinic, and owner/operator of Sears Catalog Store in Ballinger. Brooxie also worked as a clerk at Runnels County Tax Office, customer service rep at Blue Cross and Blue Shield, and as a pharmacy tech at Keel Drug. She married J.B. Teters on November 20, 2004 and they shared eleven years together until his passing on June 9, 2015. Brooxie was a faithful member of 9th Street Church of Christ in Ballinger.

Brooxie was preceded in death by her husband and her parents.

She is survived by her children, Tamela Park of Austin, Terry Denton of Ballinger, Kevin Teters and wife, Lisa of Dallas, Terri Lee and husband, Wade of Lubbock; her sisters, LaJuan Teal of Tampa, FL and Jeannie Benning and husband, Rory of Tampa, FL; and her brother, Travis Hogue and wife, Karen of Ballinger. Also surviving are 8 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00-7:00 pm on Saturday, February 20 at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. Services will be held at 2:00 pm on Sunday, February 21 at 9th Street Church of Christ in Ballinger with Max Pratt officiating. Burial will follow at Old Runnels Cemetery in Ballinger.
