Barbara Hampton Jones

Barbara Hampton Jones, 72, passed away Friday, March 18, 2016 in San Angelo.

She was born August 3, 1943 to E.C. and Frances (Hovorak) Hampton in Houston, TX. On June 3, 1961 in Ballinger, Barbara married Jack Jones, and they shared 54 loving years together. She was a faithful member of the First Presbyterian Church. Barbara enjoyed her friends and playing games, especially bridge and mahjong. She especially loved her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. They were the lights of her life. Every story, every memory for her was one about something special that one of them said or did.

Barbara was preceded in death by her parents.

She is survived by her husband, Jack of Ballinger; her children, Brent Jones and wife Michele of Ballinger, and Angie Jones of South Carolina; brother, Curtis Hampton, Jr. of Ballinger; sister, Faye Wright of Edgewood; grandchildren, Ryan and wife Kendra, Matt and wife Robynn, Molly, and Taylor Jones; and great-grandchildren, Kasey and Trent.

Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00 to 7:00 pm on Sunday, March 20, at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Monday, March 21, at First Presbyterian Church in Ballinger with Kary Fry officiating. Burial will follow at Evergreen Cemetery in Ballinger.
