M. Lucille Paschal, age 89, of San Angelo and formerly of Ballinger, passed away Sunday morning, July 12, 2009 in a San Angelo nursing center.
She was born February 19, 1920 to Joe L. and Mary A. (Williams) Hoffman in Benoit, Texas where she was raised and lived until her marriage. On November 7, 1936 in Ballinger she married Robert Lee Wood who preceded her in death in 1963. She and Harold W. Paschal were married May 17, 1967 in San Antonio. The family moved back to Runnels County in 1982. Mr. Paschal passed away in 1990, and she had lived in Ballinger since that time. She was a loving homemaker who was devoted to her family, and she was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ballinger.
Lucille is survived by her son, Robert Dewayne Wood and wife, Barbara Jane, of Sutherland Springs; and daughter, Brenda Lucille Barrigan and husband, George, of Luling. Also surviving are three brothers, Frank L. Hoffman of Aubrey, Curtis S. Hoffman of San Antonio, and J. D. Hoffman of Benoit, five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Visitation for family and friends will be Tuesday, July 14 from 7:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Lange Funeral Home. Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 15 at 10:00 a.m. at Lange Funeral Home Chapel with Clifton Phillips officiating. Burial will take place on Thursday, July 16 at 11:00 a.m. at Sunset Memorial Park in San Antonio
Serving as pallbearers will be Michael Barrigan, Jason Barrigan, Robbie Wood, John Hineman, Randy Hoffman, and Sidney Hoffman.
The family suggests memorials be made to the American Diabetes Association.
