Virginia McDaniel, 93, of Ballinger passed away Monday, October 31, 2016 at Park Plaza in San Angelo.
She was born February 3, 1923 to Joseph and Felice (Cisneros) Lounge. Virginia honorably served in the Women’s Army Corp, as a corporal, during World War II.
She met Thomas McDaniel at McClellan Field in California and they married on December 21, 1945 in Denver, Colorado. They shared thirty five years together before his passing on February 5, 1981. She worked for Gerber as an inspector. Virginia was a faithful member of the 7th Street Baptist Church in Ballinger.
Virginia was preceded in death by her husband; her parents; and siblings, Percy Lounge, Mabel Seedorf, and Helen Shelton.
She is survived by her daughter, Karen Loehman and husband, Mike of San Angelo; grandchildren, Staci Cordell and husband, Chris and Eric Loehman and wife, Angela; great grandchildren, Bella, Maddox, Ethan, Caleb, and Gehrig; and brother, Whitney Lounge. Also surviving are several nieces and nephews.
Visitation for family and friends will be held from 6:00-7:00 pm on Wednesday, November 2 at Lange Funeral Home in Ballinger. Services will be held at 10:00 am on Thursday, November 3 at Lange Funeral Home Chapel. Burial will follow at the Garden of Memories Cemetery.
