Faye Pitts

Faye Pitts, 96, was born January 29, 1920, in Jacksboro, TX to Walter and Nora (Allmon) Jones. She was the second oldest of 9 children. She finished high school in Brownfield, TX. She married James Melvin Pitts on September 16, 1939 in Coleman, TX.

She is preceded in death by her husband, James Melvin in 1997; two sons, James Arvelle (Jim) in 1989 and Charles Wayne in 2016; sisters, Eula Brown, Maudie Henderson, Wanda Hood, and Opal Rollans; and brothers, Gene, Harvey, and Clarence.

She is survived by 6 grandchildren, Darryl Pitts of Austin, TX, Derrick Pitts of Kingston, New York, Melissa Canarelli of Hudson, New Hampshire, Brandye Tambunga of Austin, TX, Keria Pelzel of New Braunfels, TX, and Teresa Cantu of Rexford, MT.. She is also survived by a brother, Wayne Jones of Coleman, TX and a daughter-in-law, Rita Busenlehner of Miles. She is also survived by 10 great grandchildren and 12 great-great grandchildren.

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, November 7 at Lawnhaven Cemetery in San Angelo.
